Overview

Haryanto Gunawan developed his interest in art during his performative period at Fachhochscule Rheinland Pfalz Main, Germany. He majored in Visuale Kommunikation in 1986. For 20years, he admired the development of abstract painting and he founded a design agency and a regional visual arts magazine C-Arts before practicing abstract painting.

"Colours (e) Motions" exhibits 15-20 works of Haryanto Gunawan, will be held in Ciputra Artpreneur Gallery June 11-13 2016. Curated by Aminudin TH Siregar and Eddy Soetriyono, this exhibition was officiated by Rina Ciputra (President Director of Ciputra Artpreneur) and Deddy Kusuma (an Indonesian prominent art collector). Hopefully, Haryanto's exhibition of his latest paintings will trigger a dialogue and discourse to refresh the development of abstract painting in Indonesia.
